North Bonneville staff has been mandated by the City Council to run operations on a balanced budget.

The realities are that local, county, state and Federal governments are having operations squeezed because of the economy.

Realities are that furlough days, lay-offs, shut-downs, foreclosures, and business closings are happening everywhere. Unemployment is up.

Our reality as community members is to survive with less income in an economy that has inflation and the threat of new taxes knocking on our doorsteps. We can if we think we can!

Is there any city ordinance to get people to make their dogs stop barking??? Every time I go outside, every time I go on a walk, every day all day long (and sometimes night), all I hear are dogs barking!! I've lived in big cities where people were much more considerate of their neighbors (and could get a ticket) on this issue. I'm actually thinking of moving to a different town when my lease is up this bothers me so much. You'd think living in such a beautiful place people would want to hear birds chirping and the wind blowing in the trees, but no, we get dogs barking....

1.Start with the Municipal Code. You will find this by going to www.NorthBonneville.net and looking under City Documents.
Read over 6.04.080 for a start. This may answer your question.
2. Talk with your neighbor. If no resolution is found-
3. File a formal complaint at City Hall; and/or-
4. Voice your opinion, and possibly that of your neighbors, at the City Council meetings. (A Council meeting is being held tomorrow at 6:30 pm. There will be a time for public comment.)

Good luck!
